Port Aransas offers something for everyone, either for a weekend or for a lifetime. Known for having some of the area’s most pristine beaches, Port A offers a wide range of outdoor fun - from fishing, sailing, surfing, biking, and kayaking.

Bird lovers will discover world-class birding – the rare Whooping Crane makes an annual appearance – and nature areas such as Charlie’s Pasture, the Birding Center, and the UT Marine Science Institute are all fascinating jewels within Port Aransas.

History buffs will find wonderful museums within charming Old Town Port A, including the Port Aransas Preservation & Historical Association, and Farley Boat Works, a local institution dedicated to preserving the design of original wooden boats.

Roberts Point Park, near the ferry landing, is a beautiful place to take a stroll and enjoy the soaring pelicans, gulls, and dolphins, as well as the gorgeous marina and historic St. Jo Island. Visitors can enjoy free outdoor performances and a multitude of beautiful spots to watch the sunset.

Boutique retail shops, galleries, cafes, and ice cream shops create a charming setting for everyone. Slow down, pick your spot, and think about all the things you’ll do tomorrow in the gem of the Coastal Bend that we call Port Aransas.
